Meet Usman
Usman's background sits at an unusual intersection: formally trained as an engineer, but with a design instinct sharp enough that he's ended up shaping product decisions as often as technical ones. That combination is exactly why he leads engineering at Zovencia as CTO.
Day to day, Usman owns the technology roadmap — the architecture decisions, the tooling, the standards every engineer's code is held to — while staying close enough to design work that Zovencia's products never end up technically sound but visually forgettable, or the other way around. He's usually the person in the room translating between what design wants and what engineering can realistically ship on schedule.
He also spends a meaningful chunk of his time mentoring — pairing with developers on tricky architecture problems, reviewing design systems before they go into production, and keeping cross-functional teams talking to each other instead of past each other.
