Sufyan Khan

Sufyan Khan started out writing code and has stayed close to it ever since — even now, as Lead Developer, most of his week is still spent in the codebase rather than away from it. That hands-on habit is exactly what makes him effective at leading a team of engineers: he's rarely asking for a status update he couldn't just as easily check himself.

He leads a development pod at Zovencia, owning technical delivery on a rotating set of client projects — breaking down requirements into sprints, making the day-to-day architecture calls a project needs, and reviewing the team's code before it ships. Where Zovencia's CTO sets direction at the company level, Sufyan Khan is the one making sure that direction actually turns into working software on schedule.

He also spends real time on the people side of the role: pairing with newer developers on tricky bugs, keeping code reviews constructive rather than just corrective, and generally trying to build a team that ships good work without burning out doing it.
